Michael Keane is a Bronx-born, New Jersey-based composer, classically trained pianist, and founder of Life Science Records. Drawing from his roots in classical piano and composition, Keane masterfully blends structured improvisation with expansive sound design — creating an emotionally resonant fusion of nostalgic minimalistic textures and contemporary electronica, woven into a narrative journey that unfolds across each track.

A classically trained pianist with a punk DIY heart, Keane composes cinematic electronic music that refuses easy classification while remaining deeply accessible. His music has been described as ‘dreamy, contemplative, mysterious and bathed in an otherworldly glow’ (The Jersey Sound) and ‘designed for solitary listening, late hours, and slow immersion’ (MinimalMag).   Keane latest release, Titles Electronica, was described 'as graceful as a Chopin nocturne or Beethoven sonata' — (The Big Takeover May 2026) and reviewed in Modern Classical Music Magazine: "comparisons to Nils Frahm, Philip Glass, and Jon Hopkins are inevitable" and "a composer with a clear trajectory — one that could naturally extend into film and visual media" — April 2026.

His work has received international press coverage from Wonderland Magazine, Magnetic Magazine, KALTBLUT, MinimalMag, The Jersey Sound, FrontView Magazine, and Modern Classical Music Magazine. His track ‘Adrenaline Slip’ was remixed by IDM legend µ-Ziq (Mike Paradinas, Planet Mu), with the remix premiering exclusively in Wonderland Magazine.

Keane founded Life Science Records in 2024 to retain full ownership of all his compositions — masters and publishing 100% owned, ensuring clean, uncomplicated sync licensing for every track in the catalog.

He releases music under several aliases — Textbook Maneuver, Distance Major, SCITK, Byte Dot Assembly — each representing a distinct facet of his compositional world. His music has accumulated nearly 250,000 streams globally and continues to grow across all platforms.
